Roofing sandwich panels with mineral wool insulation

Roof sandwich panels are a universal material for the roof of buildings of various types and purposes, the main characteristics of which include excellent sound and thermal insulation properties, high resistance to adverse external influences, mechanical durability, reliability and long lasting features makes it unique.

Basalt fiber is made from silicate melts of rocks, scoria or their combinations. As a rule, panels with mineral wool are relevant for the construction of simple structures. Mineral wool is valuable because it does not support open combustion; it provides excellent indexes of heat and sound insulation, resistant to temperature fluctuations, and exposure to aggressive substances.

The following types of thin-steel layers and rolled products with a thickness from 0.40 to 0.50 mm are used as the outer lower and upper layers

The fastening of sandwich panels to the roof is carried out after the completion of the construction of wall structures. It is worth mentioning that the roof panels are a very secure junction to each other owing to profiled protrusions, which completely eliminates the possibility of water penetration, and thanks to the very strong and rigid junction of the layers, the risk of exfoliation and possibility of leaks in the future is completely eliminated.

In general, we can say that when the assembling process is finished, the roof structure becomes reliable, almost monolithic, which is provided by the technology of junction of the panels – the upper part is overlapping, and the lower part is using a «spike-groove» lock.
